“It’s true. All of it. The Dark Side, the Jedi. They’re real.”
~Han Solo
Ten Thousand Suns is a role-playing game setting in a galaxy far, far away. It is a place of space fantasy where noble Jedi duel with devious Sith, smugglers and bounty hunters make illicit deals on backwater planets, and nimble starfighters evade laser fire from vast battleships in the depths of space.
This website gives a general overview of the setting and a detailed adaptation of the Fate Core rules for a roleplaying campaign in that setting. It is divided into topic pages which can be accessed via the sidebar to the right.
Credits
- This adaptation is by David Rourke. (I also wrote a Fate adaptation of Roger Zelazny’s Chronicles of Amber.)
- Star Wars was created George Lucas and is owned by Lucasfilm and Disney.
- Fate Core, Fate Condensed, the Fate System Toolkit, the Fate Adversary Toolkit, Tachyon Squadron, the Fate Space Toolkit, Spirit of the Century, Shadow of the Century, Venture City, and other Fate products are by Evil Hat Productions.
- I’ve found several other non-commercial Fate adaptations of Star Wars out there and I have borrowed from them as others should consider themselves free to borrow from this one. These include Fate Star Wars Edition by Ryan M. Danks, Fate of the Galaxy by Luke Martinez, Shadow of the Sith by Fred Hicks, and Infinite Empire by James Silvers.
- I have also used ideas from various Fate-based games, including the Fate version of Achtung! Cthulhu by Mophidius Entertainment, Starblazer Adventures (no longer available, alas) by Cubicle 7 Entertainment, Diaspora by VSCA Publishing, the Fate edition of Eclipse Phase by Posthuman Studios, Baroque Space Opera by Mark Kowalizzinn, Bulldogs! by Gallileo Games, the Fate version of Interface Zero by Gun Metal Games, Mindjammer by Mindjammer Press, and Oubliette by Voidspiral Entertainment.
- The Star Jedi typeface is by Bobba Fonts.
- I have attempted to obtain art from sources that appear to allow non-commercial use, especially Wookiepedia and the SW Artists Guild on deviantART. To the best of my understanding, the presence of the images on this non-commercial website constitute fair use under U.S. copyright law. If you are the owner of any of these images and would prefer they be taken down, please notify the administrator and they will be promptly removed.

I realize this is a little late, but what are the odds of a PDF being available?
Are you planning any updates or is this a dead project?
It’s currently on hiatus due to some real life stuff. I am not sure of future status. Feel free to use anything here that might help you with your own games.
In case you are interested, there have been a bunch of tweaks to the system recently.
